Byte Footage is a curatorial project and art festival that explores the artistic appropriation and use of images, sounds, and materials that are part of the infinite Internet archive. Byte Footage takes different forms: festivals, exhibitions, workshops, and talks.
Images and archives are constantly extracted from their original context to be appropriated and resignified. Mainly based in Buenos Aires, Byte Footage invites artists, theorists, and activists to think about how digital materials created in northern latitudes are used and re-interpreted in Latin American Contemporary Art.

Our working team expands for each project. On this website, under each Festival or Activity, there is a full list of people that made it possible. Byte Footage couldn't happen without them.
